This week we had to finalise the video clip and present a project pitch to our lecturer for the approval. We decided to go with one of the three clips that Mr. Alex showed the other day, which was thriller/horror kind of short video. As we are group of four members we divided our roles accordingly, where my role in it will be as recording and mixing engineer. Whereas my other group members Alex and Hanya will handle the BGM and ambience, Tod will be doing Foley. As we know the most important thing in post production is timing, so we decided to stick together and assist each other throughout the project as it not that easy, four creative minds are better than one.

The plan is to record all the sounds instead of using it from sound libraries including the ambience. Recording sounds also makes syncing part easy as we will try as much as possible to record in sync with the video. It was a green light from our lecturer so we were good to go and got the clip from him so we can start from next week. But before we start booking studios in post production we need to plan ahead on what are we gonna record so there is no waste of time during the session. We decided to start with foley sounds and keep ADR for later as it doesn't seem too complicated.
