In Foley sounds one thing to keep in mind is to get all the frequencies of that particular sound, so it is always better to layer instead of just doing one shot and also have many different takes.
Bat / Iron rod

Now here where we faced little issue in getting the desired sound effect, the scene is simple where a killer hits a man on the head with the iron rod. It was like we kind of had an idea about the sound in our head but dint know exactly how to get it done. We got a steel / iron like rod and recorded few samples, experimented with different objects like hitting the wall, carpet, pile of cloths and many things. Then tried to layer and EQ, We got the sound effect that was close but still wasn't really as expected. Later Mr. Alex heard the sound and gave us really good advice that we were focused on the sound of a bat rod hitting something and we got that but what actually we need to focus on was a man being hit by a rod. That was really helpful and took step by step, first we recorded the air sound (whoosh). We also used one of the previous recorded sample (hitting pile of cloths) and lastly the impact sound of the skull or bone for that we recorded by crushing the pepsi can. Later added a high pass filter, and also a crunch effect from SansAmp PSA-1 plugin. We were still not completely happy but it was good for now.

Man tied to a chair with Chains
In the scene the man is tied to a chair with the chains. For this we had an actual chains recorded first that had the high pitch sound then the second and third sound we recorded by actually tying one our group member to a chair and he acted out the scene as if he is trying to get out.
Light Movement
For this sound we used one of the chairs that had high squeak on the hand rest side and added high pass filter.
